Dense Fog Forces Closure of Motorways Across Pakistan

Dense fog has forced the closure of several sections of Pakistan’s motorway network, causing major disruptions for commuters and transport services. To prioritize public safety, authorities have temporarily shut down key routes where visibility has been severely compromised.

The dense fog has led to the complete closure of the Sialkot Motorway (M-11), while traffic on the Lahore to Kot Momin section of the Motorway (M-2) has also been suspended. Additionally, the entire Motorway (M-3) is shut down, and the M-4 Motorway, stretching from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem, remains inaccessible due to severely reduced visibility.

Authorities have advised drivers to avoid unnecessary travel during these hazardous conditions and to stay informed about updates on traffic restoration. Travelers are urged to exercise caution and prioritize safety until visibility improves and normal traffic operations are restored.
