Govt Officially Announces 5 February Holiday

The federal government has declared February 5 as Kashmir Solidarity Day, observing it as an official public holiday to honor the ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people.
According to a government notification, the day will be commemorated with various events and activities aimed at expressing support for Kashmir and its people.
The day will commence with a moment of silence at 10 AM to honor the Kashmiri martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for their cause. A one-minute silence will be observed nationwide, symbolizing the nation’s unity and solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
This observance reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
