Lahore Board Introduces QR Codes for Instant Document Verification

The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has implemented a new QR code system to streamline the verification of academic documents.

Under this initiative, all certificates, result cards, and roll number slips issued by BISE Lahore will include a unique QR code. By scanning these codes, educational institutions and employers can instantly verify the authenticity of the documents online.

The system is designed to address the rising issue of fake degrees, providing a quicker and more reliable method for verifying academic documents.

Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) is grappling with a controversy surrounding tampered 2024 intermediate exam results. The incident has caused considerable unrest, especially among students in the pre-medical and pre-engineering streams, who reported receiving unexpectedly low marks.

The situation has sparked protests, with numerous students calling for a comprehensive review of their results.
