Punjab is now open for applications for temporary teaching positions.
The School Education Department has officially announced the recruitment of temporary teachers, with online applications now being accepted starting today.
Key Recruitment Details:
- Application Deadline: January 24
- Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on January 25
- Merit Lists: Final merit lists will be published on the online portal on January 31
- Vacancies: More than 115,000 positions are currently available in schools.
The recruitment drive seeks to fill teaching positions in 42,000 schools across Punjab, based on the specific requirements. These temporary roles will be offered on a four-month contract, running from February 1 to May 31. There is a possibility of contract renewal after the summer break.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 21 to 45 years
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, along with a professional teaching qualification.
